Income, education and democracy

چکیده
In this paper we argue that a potentially important mechanism by which modernization leads to democratization is rise in de facto power as more of the population becomes educated. Analyzing model polity dictates pace through its choice public education expenditures, first show (i) an autocrat must eventually fund long masses begin with some even though it lowers income group he represents, and (ii) never relinquishes unless increases economy modernizes. We then present evidence have very often preceded transitions autocratic regimes democratic ones.
